From Shane on 5/02/11
- hi
Can these boots take crampons? - Hi Shane, thanks for your enquiry. These boots are a bit too soft to take crampons, but to use them mostly as a Tramping Boot and only occasionally with crampons, that would be fine. Thanks

- hi have size 49 feet hard to find good boots, are these suitable for hunting. They sound very heavy, and a tread looks on roadish.
- Hi Ben, The Asolo TPS 535 are a rugged off trail boot and are good for heavy loads and uneven terrain. As they are a full grain leather boot they are a bit heavier than a synthetic boot however they are more durable for use in bush. Thanks

- Which crampons would you recommend for these boots?
- Hi Jim, I would recommend either the Black Diamond Serac Strap http://www.bivouac.co.nz/gear/climbing/crampons/black-diamond-serac-stainless-crampon-with-abs.html or the Black Diamond Contact strap http://www.bivouac.co.nz/gear/climbing/crampons/black-diamond-contact-stainless-strap-crampon-with-abs.html for the TPS 535. Thanks
