Technology
OtterBox™ closed cell neoprene o-ring creates a positive seal that does not allow water in, and the box itself is made with a fibreglass reinforced ABS resin that is virtually indestructible. The boxes were tested off the coast of Alaska and reached depths well beyond 100 feet without leaking. Independent tests, as well as those of Otter Products Ltd, have consistently shown that all sizes of the OtterBox™ are leak proof to at least a depth of 110 feet. OtterBox™ understands that most of you will never use a box to this depth, but it gives them the confidence to provide a lifetime guarantee with their boxes. Any time that you are around water, you can trust that your items will be kept dry. Some of the boxes have even been placed under the wheels of vehicles with no effect to the box whatsoever! they also have the added bonus of being able to float.
