Care
Camalot C3s demand a certain amount of care. Proper storage and routine checkups will prolong the life of your Camalot C3s.
- Store Camalot C3s in a clean, dry environment, out of direct sunlight.
- Keep Camalot C3s away from heat sources.
- Do not allow Camalot C3s into contact with corrosives such as battery acid, solvent, etc.
- Protect your Camalot C3 from damage during transport.
- If your Camalot C3 has sticky action or is clogged with dirt: wash in very warm, clean water and dry completely. Lube after washing and drying and wipe off the excess.
- Wash and lube after contact with saltwater or salt air.
- To maintain optimal cam action, ensure that all trigger wires run smoothly from the cam with minimal contact to any other parts.
- Keep axles lubricated to prevent rust.
- Never modify your Camalot C3.
- Retire a Camalot C3 immediately if:
- The cams have been damaged in a fall.
- The cams are bent, chipped, deformed or excessively worn.
- The wire loop is frayed, kinked or damaged.
- The stem cables are frayed, kinked or damaged in any way.
- The springs are weak or damaged.
- The cam is worn to the point that the retractor wire becomes visible through the cam surface.
