Technology
WAAS: Wide Area Augmentation System. It's a system of satellites and ground stations that provide GPS signal corrections, giving you even better position accuracy. How much better? Try an average of up to five times better. A WAAS-capable receiver can give you a position accuracy of better than three meters 95 percent of the time. And you don't have to purchase additional receiving equipment or pay service fees to utilize WAAS. If you want to know more visit the Garmin site page on WAAS.Questions on Garmin eTrex H GPS Receiver

From Shaun on 16/04/11
- Can the eTrex H give you a 6 figure grid reference of your location rather than longitude and latitude for bush navigation in NZ?
- Hi Shaun, The eTrex H does give you a 6 figure grid reference and complies with the current WGS 84 (world grid system) Thanks
