The revolutionary design of the Ergo Hammock makes it possible to sleep comfortably in a horizontal position. It took 6 years, many prototypes and the help of a Swiss geologist and the break through of a diagonal suspension system to make it possible. It features an integrated mat sleeve, a removable No-See-Um anti-mozzie net and quick set up. It is a winner of the 2011 OutDoor Show Industry Gold award for outstanding design and innovative achievement.
Features
- Special mat sleeve that can be accessed from two sides - it holds a sleeping mat firmly in place and fits all Exped mats except the MegaMat (a mat is recommended for greatest sleeping comfort)
- Using a mat with the hammock avoids that cold feeling on your back at night and prevents mozzies from biting through
- Removable mosquito net - the fine mesh net is generously dimensioned and can be zipped open and stowed in a pocket. The dark colour of the mesh is see-through from the inside but less so from the outside.
- Adjustable suspension - a distance of only 1.8m between anchor points is necessary for setup, if the distance is larger it is only limited by the length of the ropes
- Simple setup - all parts are factory pre-mounted so that only the carabiners need to be hooked into the buttonhole ropes (included)for use. The ropes can be attached to trees or other anchor points without the need for knots. Drop shields prevent rain from soaking its way down the ropes.
- Suspension cord sheath - the sheath over the cords prevents them getting tangled when packed away for storage
- The Ergo Hammock was awarded the coveted OutDoor Industry Gold Award at the big Outdoor Show in Germany which is awarded for outstanding design and innovative achievement
