Footprints are for ground protection beneath tents, providing protection for the tent floor from abrasion, dirt and humidity. They are shaped 10cm smaller than the tent floor, which prevents rain from collecting between the footprint and the tent floor while covering the vestibule floor space to protect the vestibule from dirt and humidity. Use the footprint and tent fly only for extra light adventures or use the footprint as a tarp against rain, wind and sun.
