Arc'teryx Warp Harnesses

A revolutionary advance in harness technology new on the market which Arc'teryx call Warp Strength® Technology (WST™) creates higher levels of comfort and support by uniformly spreading the load across the entire harness, equally distributing weight and pressure from edge to edge. This is in contrast to contemporary designs which have focussed on creating comfort through foam padding to cushion the narrow piece of webbing that makes up the load-bearing part of the harnesses.

With Warp Strength Technology oversized padding is eliminated and a hyper-light harness is the result: improbably thin and supple while providing levels of comfort and support that seem impossible by today's standards. WTS® harnesses conform to your body and move with you to give a liberating sensation of wearing nothing at all.

Bivouac Outdoor is about to receive 3 types these revolutionary WTS™ harnesses instore and online and we are very excited to be able to offer them to all you climbers out there: the R-320, the women's specific R-280, and the X-350a specifically designed for ice and mixed climbers. The harnesses come supplied in a cool tin.

The Buckle

Hot forged out of 7075 T6 Aluminium, these sleek and lightweight buckles provide a secure closure with the ease and speed of one-handed adjustability. They are fully separating for donning while wearing crampons or skis.

The Wear Safety Marker

When orange is visible, retire the harness. Integrated into the core of each tie-in point and the belay loop is an orange marker that visually alerts you when you have worn through the protective ballistic sheath and are in danger of abrading the structural webbing.

Gear loops

The Gear Loops

Webbing loops are sewn directly to the structural material of the harness and injection moulded polyurethane gear loops sheathe the webbing. Shaped for forward racking, they are reversible and even removable. In sub-zero conditions they remain flexible.
