Chest: Place your tape measure across the back, underneath the arms and then across the fullest part of the chest
Height: This is the true height, without the assistance of shoes
In instances when body measurements are midway between two sizes, go to the smaller size for a tighter fit and the larger size for a looser fit.
In instances when the body measurements for chest and height are in two different suggested sizes, Icebreaker recommends going with the size from the chest measurement.

The Kids Icebreaker range is a fun and adventurous collection of sunsafe, breathable, odour resistant, non-itch and easy care merino layers. It has kids covered until they graduate to grown up Icebreaker garments.
Merino wool is super lightweight, soft, moisture-wicking, non-itchy, non-clammy, warm in the cold and cool in the heat, and has a miraculous ability to resist odour. Because it was made in the mountains rather than in a petrochemical laboratory. It's naturally renewable, recyclable and biodegradable.
The smaller the micron, the finer the fibre, the softer it feels. The diameter of a Merino fibre is measured in microns – where one micron equals one millionth of a metre. Icebreaker's Merino fibres range from 15.5 to 23.5 microns to ensure a soft hand feel across our skin to outer layers. Finer fibres feel softer because they bend more easily when in contact with the skin.
Icebreaker next-to-skin layers: 15.5-18.5 micron
Icebreaker mid layers: 18.6-22.5 micron
Icebreaker outer layers: 22.6-23 micron
Synthetic fibres: 30 micron
Traditional wool fibre: 50 micron
Human hair: 70 micron
