RealFLEECE® is Icebreaker's natural, luxurious, brushed Merino wool alternative to a synthetic fleece. Made with corespun yarn, the superfine Merino wool is reinforced with a fine nylon core for strength and durability and the brushing traps heat to provide you with supreme softness and warmth while keeping weight down. Nature Dye: uses natural substances derived from renewable plants and natural non-toxic mordants to adhere the colour to the fabric. Each product in Icebreaker's Nature Dye collection is garment dyed - is a dye technique where row, undyed fabric is sewn into a finished garment and the finished raw garments are then dyed. Icebreaker's partners at Shanghai Challenge have pioneered a cold-water natural dye technique. This, combined with low water requirements, represents an approximate 40% reduction in energy usage.
