Hip: Place your measuring tape around your body at the fullest part of your hip, feet together
In instances when your body measurements for waist and hip are in different suggested sizes, Icebreaker recommends going with the size from your hip measurement.
The Merino 150 Anatomica Briefs are designed to give you the support and comfort you need for both everyday and weekend adventures. They are made with ultralight, strong, soft, and stretchy Merino wool corespun fabric, a contoured pouch for additional support, and flatlocked seams for next-to-skin comfort. A must have.
Merino wool is super lightweight, soft, non-itchy, non-clammy, warm in the cold and cool in the heat, and has a miraculous ability to resist odour. Because it was made in the mountains rather than in a petrochemical laboratory. It's naturally renewable, recyclable and biodegradable.
Merino wool corespun wraps Merino fibre around a super-fine nylon core to create lightweight, warm and durable garments for demanding activities. The enhanced strength and durability of the fabric retains the next-to-skin softness, breathability, temperature regulation and odour resistance of Merino wool.
The smaller the micron, the finer the fibre, the softer it feels. The diameter of a Merino fibre is measured in microns – where one micron equals one millionth of a metre. Icebreaker's Merino fibres range from 15.5 to 23.5 microns to ensure a soft hand feel across our skin to outer layers. Finer fibres feel softer because they bend more easily when in contact with the skin.
Icebreaker next-to-skin layers: 15.5-18.5 micron
Icebreaker mid layers: 18.6-22.5 micron
Icebreaker outer layers: 22.6-23 micron
Synthetic fibres: 30 micron
Traditional wool fibre: 50 micron
Human hair: 70 micron
