Nature Dye: uses natural substances derived from renewable plants and natural non-toxic mordants to adhere the colour to the fabric. Each product in Icebreaker's Nature Dye collection is garment dyed - is a dye technique where row, undyed fabric is sewn into a finished garment and the finished raw garments are then dyed. Icebreaker's partners at Shanghai Challenge have pioneered a cold-water natural dye technique. This, combined with low water requirements, represents an approximate 40% reduction in energy usage.
