The PIEPS Freeride is a single antenna avalanche transceiver that offers simple, easy, and clear operation in the size of a cell phone. The arrowhead on the screen grows according to the strength of the signal found and icons on the screen will let you know if there is more than one victim and the strength of the battery. It does not have a direction indicator and requires you to use the distance indicator to find the shortest distance and is best suited to experienced searchers.
