Review by Bivouac Southerly Storm Orienteer, Lara Prince.
This tent is super-light, weighing just 846gm including poles and pegs (633gm shelter only), and packing down to about the size of a 1 litre water bottle. For its weight, it is handsomely spacious – it has room enough to sleep two people, and sit up comfortably, manoeuvre around a bit, and sleep without feeling like you are asphyxiating.
I would particularly use this tent for overnight mountain-bike trips, mountain marathons, adventure races (e.g., Spring Challenge, Godzone), and for those tramping missions where you want to bring a tent just in case the trip turns into an epic. Bare in mind though, it is a tent built for a purpose. It is paper-thin which requires a higher-level of care, and would not be suitable for hard-use.
I also recommend you become very familiar with setting it up before getting out with it, because if it is not sufficiently taut it will probably begin to leak in heavy rain as I sadly found out on my first outing.
