| Technologies | DryVent®: This waterproof, breathable technology uses a polyurethane (PU) coating that consists of a tri-component, multi-layer formula for waterproof protection, moisture permeability and durability. It's been lab- and field-tested to ensure the best possible durability and function. ThermoBall™ Eco: developed in partnership with PrimaLoft, Inc., ThermoBall™ Eco is a revolution in insulation technology, manufactured from 100% post-consumer plastic - you get the lightweight, all-weather warmth of standard ThermoBall™ insulation, but also the little extra-warm-feeling you get from doing your part for the planet. ThermoBall™ technology: is a lightweight, synthetic down alternatice that gives you phenomenal warmth, even in wet conditions. ThermoBall™ retains loft and traps heat no matter how wet your environment. Unlike traditional continuous-filament synthetic insulations, the small, round PrimaLoft® synthetic-fibre clusters closely mimic down clusters, trapping heat within small air pockets to retain warmth. Independent clo testing by Kansas State University has shown that ThermoBall™ has warmth equivalent to 600-fill goose down. As a result, ThermoBall™ can offer the light weight, loft, warmth and compressibility of down with the wet-weather insulating performance of synthetic insulation. |
