The GeoPress Replacement Purifier Cartridge is designed to last up to 350 cycles (250 litres) or three years from first use. Lifespan declines when purifying water with high levels of silt, sediment or tannins and you will notice cartridge press times increase towards the end of the cartridge lifespan, so when press time reaches 25-30 seconds, the cartridge should be replaced. The cartridge continues to protect, even as press time increases.
Features
- Compatible with One-Way Silicone Valve for electrolytes and sport-drink mixes
- Active technology: electroadsorption and ultra-powdered activated carbon
- Removes waterborne pathogens (viruses, bacteria, protozoan cysts), including Rotavirus, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery and more
- Filters particulates (sediment, microplastics etc.); ultra-powdered activated carbon effectively adsorbs chemicals (including PFAS and VOCs), pesticides, heavy metals, flavours, and odours
- Improves taste, smell and clarity
- Fast Flow Rate: 8 seconds per 710ml (5 litres/minute)
- Rated for 350 cycles (250L): as "press time" reaches ~25 seconds (or three years have elapsed since first use) it's time to replace your purifier cartridge
- Stored under proper conditions, an unopened Purifier Cartridge has a shelf life of 10 years; after a cartridge has been used, it lasts at least 3 additional years
- Independently tested by a certified laboratory to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI protocols 42 and 53 for sediment, pathogen and chemical removal; meets the USA EPA Guide Standard and Protocol for testing microbiological water purifiers
