Features include a three quarter waterproof zip down the leg allows plenty of room to layer up with bulkier boots and snaps secure the hem. The elasticated waistband with adjustable draw chord offers flexibility between sizes and layering. The pants neatly stuff into the back zip pocket when not in use. These are a great, not so rigid three layer, offering balance between durability and softness. With every step you take, they're not as crinkly as alternatives on the market.

Expert Opinion

Torrentshell is a durable H2NO three layer rain pant with a PFC-free DWR finish. Features include an elasticated waistband with drawstring, two zip up side pockets, wide leg and non waterproof zips half way up the side for ease when wearing boots. Folks heading into more technical environments may prefer a full zip for further ease. Harsher conditions may see a small amount of water making it's way through the non waterproof side zip. All being said though, this item is considered one of the best rain pant shells at this price point.
