Expert Opinion

The Trabuco Gore-tex is my all rounder trail and general outdoor shoe. For me it provides the right mix of cushion and responsiveness to cover trail runs, day walks, and mucking around with the kids outside. I spend a lot of time on wet grass, so I greatly appreciate the Gore-tex waterproof membrane. If you fully submerge your shoe in water, and need it to drain/dry quickly, then this shoe is not for you. ASICS's foam and mid sole technology mean they can achieve a mid stack height trail shoe that is well cushioned, light, and very responsive relative to other options in the market. This update comes with the bonus of a wider toe box which has made it more comfortable and stable on my trail runs.
