Expert Opinion

Well designed for carrying heavier loads with it's sturdy airscape frame and lumbar support, the Ather 65 extended fit may be a more comfortable option for those who are a little broader. The well padded shoulder straps with a greater range of adjustment provide soft cushioning while the extended fit hip belt provides further wrap around the hips with balance between cushion and firmness. Alongside the packs water bladder compatibility, roomy side pockets for drink bottles have two entry points making grabbing your own water a lot easier when on the move. In addition the the classic top opening tramping pack, the bag is also accessible from the bottom where you'll find a gear hammock for managing weight distribution when your pack isn't full. In addition to this, behind the clips is a zip allowing you to open you bag like a suitcase for easier access to internal space. All up, a great pack for those who load up!

Expert Opinion

The Aether 75 is praised as a premium durable pack suitable for heavy load carries by backpackers and mountaineers alike. Osprey's Airscape frame provides the foundation for comfortable carry of more weight and bulk. A stripped back version of the Aether, the Aether Pro trades all external pockets for much larger hip belt pockets big enough to fit a reasonable sized drink bottle, and straps as alternate storage and to synch the sides in when not using the packs full capacity. Great design means that this pack can be stripped down with removable side pockets and the brain of the bag when a more minimalist set up is desired.
