Pluma is a jacket well designed for the mountains! The 3 Layer GORE-TEX shell is rigid and crinkly to wear, meaning it stands up well in harsh environments above the bush line. All external zips are waterproof from the two-way centre front to under arm ventilation zips. Hand pockets sit higher to allow easy access when worn with a harness and hip belts of a pack. Two of the three internal pockets are zipped, one of which is hidden inside the wearer's left chest pocket. It's helmet compatible hood provides full peripheral vision and almost covers the nose when fully zipped up. While the hood offers great protection in a downpour, coverage was not so great when paired with the helmet in the same conditions. Layering is important for maximum breathability, but a well designed, hardy athletic fit jacket that is true to size.
