This is a fantastic hiking shoe for a variety of New Zealand environments. If you are looking for a great all rounder on trails as well as off track. Tested through the long woods of Te Araroa, they give good traction and hold steadfast to your feet - you just want to ensure you have the right fit so you are not sliding around inside them. The Vibram soles give great mileage while these are one of the most cushioned hiking shoes we stock, providing built in arch support well suited to those with mid arches. The well padded tongue of the shoe adds to comfort. Although not the waterproof version of the shoe, they will dry slightly quicker for that reason. The likely point where these shoes will give first is the crease line where your toe flexes, but they should give you a good run first. This flexible soled shoe will mould well to most backcountry terrain in a bush line level.
