The Speedcross are a huge seller and for very good reason. My friend has been buying these over and over again for many years. These shoes feel extremely comfortable and stable. Although Salomons tend to run quite narrow with their shoes, where the Speedcross can fit people with slightly wider toe boxes due to the stretchy mesh. The are a great running shoe, designed to grip to muddy and wet terrains.
The main limitation with this model is that if running on a flat, concrete type road you might feel the lugs through the shoes. The heel to toe drop is quite noticeable, so if you are not used to feeling your heels so high up this might not be the shoe for you. The non Gore-Tex version is much nicer for warmer days, if you tend to sweat quickly and for better breathability.
They are great for adventure racing, running on grass or gravel terrain.
