The Terra Gore-Tex are an excellent seller due to their classic leather boot style, how versatile they are and how lightweight they feel!

These are our most lightweight leather boot, which allows people to have the long lasting perks of leather as well as the lightweight feel of a synthetic boot. The Vibram sole is hardwearing, which is good for people planning to walk long lengths of time. They would make for a great day hike or Great Walk boot option. The Gore-Tex membrane adds breathability to the boot as well as making if fully waterproof without you having to do anything to the leather.
The shoes are very flexible and soft and do not have any protective rand around the shoe which means they will not be suited for anyone going on technical rugged terrain that will easily scuff and damage the leather.

I would recommend using insoles with these boots as they can feel quite hard on your feet.

Fit Tip: Narrow fitting

I would recommend the SL Actives to someone looking for a decently stiff boot. The boots constructed from tough leather and a rand that protects the boot all the way around. The fit is wide but not as wide as the male boots. As soon as people step into the boots they find the fit of the boot to be surprisingly comfortable for such a heavy and stiff boot. The sole and rubber are super tough and can take on a lot of weight making these a great option for hunters or people carrying heavy backpacks. There is no waterproof membrane, meaning that the boot relies on you taking care of the leather to make it waterproof.

A boot like this would be good for someone going bush bashing, very steep terrain, lots of scree or hunting. If you take good care of the leather, this shoe could last you many years. The trade off with this option is definitely the weight. After hiking for a few hours or after crossing some rivers, you will notice the weight, so do not choose this option

Fit Tip: Wide woman's fit.
