The Salomon X Ultra is the perfect shoe if you're wanting that lighter weight feel of a trail runner but the support of a hiking shoe - perfect for day hikes or ultralight missions. This shoe fits on the narrower side, so if you've got a mid-to-wide foot these may be too narrow. The treads are super grippy and the quick-laces make them a breeze to take on or off and no need to re-tie your laces on the go. While most customers fall in love with these on the spot, those with a narrow heel have commented that they can't get the laces tight enough to prevent the heel slipping.
