The Fairview 55 has a stellar reputation amongst all types of travelers. They offer comfort of tramping style harnesses with the convenience of a suitcase style opening.

Both the 55 and 70 come with a day bag that can be either strapped onto the back or attached on the shoulder straps - a feature that cannot be praised enough because if you've worn two sets of backpack straps through an airport or city, you know it sucks. If you're looking for a carry-on travel bag go with the 55, or for longer term, heavier packers or multi season travel - choose the 70.

Both of these models have adjustable harnesses, with the 70L having two attachment points for the load adjusters - which allows you to get the right fit, short or tall, and carry the weight comfortably.

The Fairview pack is the ultimate traveling pack. Whether you are traveling to South East Asia, Europe or through the Americas, this pack is a perfect combination between a soft suitcase and a pack. Having the accessibility of a full zip and rectangular shape of a suitcase allows you to fit all those packing cubes nicely. You can lock your zips together for ease of mind and best of all you can choose whether you want to carry it sideways, upright or pull out the harness that makes commuting to your accommodation a breeze. On top of that the 55L and 70L packs come with their own day pack that can be easily attached to the main pack or detached when you are out exploring for the day.
Although he back harness is made to be as comfortable as possible, I wouldn't recommend you use this pack for extensive walking or if you think you might be hiking with it.
