I first bought the Lone Peak 5's and I lovedddd them and then didn't love some of the in between models and strayed to another brand for several years. But having had the Lone Peak 9+'s for several months now I love them as much as my original 5's. The Vibram soles are a huge plus for durability and grip, and the toe box is slightly roomier. I do find the Lone Peak's run slightly small, and I sized up a half size (normally wear an EU 42, and wear the EU42.5 in the Lone Peaks). These are perfect for me for short trail runs on soft terrain, day hikes and short multi day trips depending on my pack weight.

HUGE improvement on the Olympus 6! As a long-time fan of the Lone Peaks' I was bummed to not be able to try the Olympus 6's as I got a ton of heel slip/movement when trying on in store and never wanted to commit to them for fear of blisters. But the sock design on the new Olympus 275 has gotten rid of that movement entirely and the Matrix upper is a huge win for durability considering previous Olympus models' durability issues with the mesh upper. Picked up a pair of these recently and super stoked to put these to the test on trail!
