T2 technology for technical socks with two differentiated layers of yarn, blending different types of fibres to offer limited performance for athletes.
Red-Cycled Nylon yarn is made entirely from fishing nets whose useful life in the fishing industry has come to an end. In this way, instead of becoming a danger at the bottom of the sea, they are recycled to give life to a new nylon yarn. This continuous fibre yarn is hard-wearing and provides good cushioning. It withstands wear and tear better than any other fibre on the market.
MerinoDry ECO: The new MerinoDry ECO yarn has all the benefits of superfine Merino wool in addition to containing a 100% synthetic polyester fibre that improves the sock's moisture-wicking properties, dries more quickly, and boosts wearability.
Stretch Nylon with LYCRA® adds durability and ensure these socks stay up in your shoes without slipping down to your toes. On the one hand, NYLON is a synthetic continuous fibre that is characterised by its resistance and capacity to cushion. On the other hand, LYCRA® is a synthetic elastane fibre that can stretch up to six times its length and return to its original state. Its strategic placement in the outer layer of Lorpen socks guarantees a long life for Lorpen socks. Along with Nylon, LYCRA® is characterised by its strength and cushioning capacity.
Sustainable manufacturing:
- CERTIFIED: The Lorpen factory has the ISO 14001 certification (Environmental).
- ENERGY: The Lorpen factory consumes 100% renewable energy power (electrical energy). Sun light efficient factory building.
- RESOURCES: The Lorpen factory does not use chemicals in final products nor water in excess in its process.
- MATERIALS: All the materials used in Lorpen products are spun and dyed in Europe . All of them are OEKOTEX® certified.
- PACKAGING: All the plastic bags used in the factory are produced with low-density polyethylene that has a lower environmental impact than any other solution and without printing so that they can be completely recycled. All the boxes used in the factory contain 60% recycled materials.
- LOCATION: The location of the factory allows 95% of workers to bike or walk to work.

*Due to the oversized nature of certain products in our range we must charge an oversized shipping fee of $30 for 1 oversized item, or $50 for 2 or more oversized items to reflect the cost of shipping. This will include large packs, tents or heavy items. In most cases, a note will be displayed in the product description where this is applicable.
International Orders:
We are unable to ship internationally.
NZ Overnight Delivery:
All standard orders are sent via NZ Post’s Overnight Delivery Service. Orders placed before 2pm are usually delivered the next working day - nationwide, however delivery timeframes may occasionally vary due to courier delays outside of our control.
- Options for 'Signature Required' or 'No Signature Required' via the checkout.
- We deliver to NZ physical addresses and PO Boxes (no parcel lockers).
- We ship Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).
- For Rural Deliveries and in certain parts of NZ - time frames may take a bit longer.
- Additional delays may also occur if further payment or address information is required.
- Your Order Confirmation Email and Shipping Confirmation Email will be sent from shop@bivouac.co.nz
- Orders with both standard and oversized items in them, will be delivered in the oversized delivery timeframe of 3-7 working days.
We strongly advise all customers to check goods thoroughly upon delivery before destroying packaging or removing any attached tags.
Oversized Deliveries:
Shipping of oversized items takes 3-7 working days. However you are able to pick these up Same Day should the oversized item be available in your selected store. Find out more here.
Track & Trace
All items are tracked using NZ Post. Check your Shipping Confirmation email for a link or click here and enter your tracking details.
To get your order to you as quickly as possible, your items may be shipped from multiple locations. This means your order could arrive in separate packages or be delivered on different days.

Non Shipping Days and Delays:
- Orders placed late Friday or over the weekend are processed the following Monday.
- Sale periods may cause delays due to increased order volume.
Note: During public holidays courier services are unavailable and dispatch will occur the next working day:

Rural Delivery:
No additional charges or fees for any rural deliveries throughout New Zealand. Some rural deliveries may take longer than standard NZ delivery times. Rural may take a further 1-2 days.
Cancellation Policy:
Unfortunately orders cannot be cancelled or modified once they are placed. However, if there's an issue with your order, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help.
