Technologies | GORE-TEX® ePE membrane: provides excellent performance and sustainability, offering a waterproof, and breathable product. The membrane's optimal strength-to-weight ratio allows it to create extremely lightweight and thin products without compromising durability and high performance. The PFAS-free laminate, including the durable water repellent (DWR) treatment, demonstrates a commitment to responsible chemical management, while also reducing the carbon footprint (per Higg Materials Sustainability Index). SCARPA's® experience and research guarantee absolute comfort in the new ACTIVfit Technology line: absolute in the sense that it turns subjective wellbeing into objective comfort. The new range of products takes quality up a notch in terms of performance, comfort, style and durability, specifically built for the maximum performance on any type of terrain. These models have all it takes to tackle backpacking, challenging trekking trips and lengthy hikes. ACTIVfit Technology separately develops specific shapes, soles and models for youth, men and women. PRESA: Each PRESA sole is carefully developed keeping in mind the use of the shoe. The measurement of the main performance indicators (including grip on dry and wet conditions, resistance) is fundamental in choosing the best sole according to the activity for which the shoe is designed. The midsole is the result of a meticulous research of materials, density and inserts to create the right compromise between control, precision and comfort. In the study of tread design, the key is the correct position of the self-cleaning plugs and channels, to satisfy the needs of thrust and braking and ensure effective cleaning of the sole from debris. The compounds are specifically designed for the outdoor world, with the objective of obtaining maximum performance in all weather conditions and on all types of terrain, without compromising the duration. |
