Salomon S/LAB has landed at Bivouac, bringing footwear, apparel and accessories developed alongside Salomon’s athletes. If the name’s new to you, here’s what it means and what sets the range apart.

What is Salomon S/LAB?

S/LAB represents the highest tier of innovation and performance in Salomon’s range. It’s where the brand works directly with its athletes to conceive, prototype, test and refine equipment for demanding races and mountain conditions.

That athlete involvement extends across Salomon’s sports, from trail running to skiing, snowboarding and mountaineering. The starting point is the same: understand what athletes need, then develop gear around those demands.

Developed with athletes, tested outside

S/LAB development goes well beyond the design studio. Athletes help shape products through testing in the conditions they’re intended for, with feedback informing each round of refinement.

For trail running, that means working through the details that matter over rough ground and long distances. Footwear, clothing and accessories are developed with performance in mind, drawing on what Salomon’s athletes learn through training and racing.

More than trail shoes

While footwear might be your first introduction to S/LAB, the range also includes apparel and accessories. Salomon develops these pieces to work together, supporting runners across their training and racing.

S/LAB trail running shoes

At Bivouac, you’ll find S/LAB trail running footwear, apparel and accessories, including the S/LAB Genesis 2, a shoe built around the demands of long distances and technical terrain.

The S/LAB Ultra Glide 2 offers maximum cushioning for long trail runs, pairing a breathable Matryx Micro upper with a dual-foam midsole.

S/LAB running vests

The S/LAB Ultra 12 Set brings 12 litres of carrying capacity for long-distance runs, with pockets at the front and back and two included 500ml soft flasks. For a smaller carrying option, the S/LAB Sense 6 Set offers up to 6 litres of capacity, a snug fit and two included 500ml soft flasks.
