The Stormracer Shell is the breathable, packable and waterproof shell you've been searching for high aerobic activity. A more breathable option than 2.5L running jackets, the Stormracer's 3L construction will keep you dry while avoiding that clammy condensation feeling so many jackets come with. Ideal for trail running, the Stormracer finds use for cyclers and fast-packers alike. Those wanting an extremely light rain-coat for their day hikes may find this as a good option - but should note that this has a very minimalist design, lacking volume/structure in the hood and no waist pockets - not intended for alpine conditions or severe weather.

My choice for a lightweight trail running shell, or something pop in my pack just in case that isn't going to take much space and still perform. In this class of lightweight shells, you don't see a 3 layer construction too often and I feel this sets this one apart, as it's a lot less 'sticky' to wear than others I've used. It packs down nice and small and fits really well in the tunnel pocket on my Salomon running vest. As it is so lightweight, it is a bit more fragile, so would be pretty useless if using in thick scrub off track.
