This mat is an awesome basic mat for a beginning adventurer! It’s super comfortable, self inflating, easy to use and easy to pack away. It’s not the lightest/warmest/most intense mat out there but it’s definitely a fantastic all-rounder. I would probably say that this mat is better suited to back/front sleepers than side sleepers, but the rectangular size means there’s that little bit of extra space for starfishing. For those getting into multiday tramps and looking for a great affordable first mat, I would for sure recommend this guy.
