I was originally confused as to why Osprey would make a more lightweight and minimal version of the Ariel 65 in a 75L capacity rather than 50L. Normally when models are made lighter weight, they automatically remove some of the capacity, as ideally you are not carrying as much. Other than that the pack is pretty great for people requiring large capacity but wanting a more streamlined pack. The 'normal' Ariel has quite a lot of straps everywhere and can feel a bit much and consequently, add more weight. The Ariel Pro 75 keeps important features such as the adjustable back, hip belt and shoulder straps as well as the firm foam back panel that keeps the weight nice and close to your back. This makes it so much more stable when moving fast or climbing over rocks and roots.
Great high capacity pack for someone ready to take a step into the ultralight world!
