The Soujourn Porter is a great travel bag if you’re looking for slightly more volume or more organization compared to the Fairview 40L. This is one of the only travel bags with a drink bottle holder, which you don’t realize how good of a feature it is until you’re lugging your drink bottle everywhere or have it banging around clipped to the outside. The back panel isn’t as breathable as others and it’s a fixed torso length so may not be as comfortable for everyone.
Having used this bag on a few trips I loved how durable the outer fabric was as it has a bit more structure/shape – but on smaller planes did struggle occasionally to fit it in the overhead bins, never had an issue on international flights. I’d recommend this bag more to people using it for urban/short term travel, as if you over pack it for a longer trip you may need to check it in.
