- Almost 400 climbs at your aching fingertips
- Paynes Ford caters for most needs- from the hard rock junkie to the mellow hangout types. It's got easy access; there are a variety of grades and types of climbing, good swimming holes and deep water bouldering for when it gets hot. The steep solid limestone dries quickly and climbing is only inhibited by the wettest weather- it's even good in mid-winter (when the friction is better)
- The coastal cliffs of the Pohara area offer a different style and environment to the climbing at Paynes Ford itself. There are more moderate climbs, the rock tends to have flat, positive, small edges and routes are longer- up top 30m in some areas. Most cliffs are north-facing, thus are exposed to the sun until early afternoon. Pohara rock dries quickly and is the perfect place to climb year round.

*Due to the oversized nature of certain products in our range we must charge an oversized shipping fee of $30 for 1 oversized item, or $50 for 2 or more oversized items to reflect the cost of shipping. This will include large packs, tents or heavy items. In most cases, a note will be displayed in the product description where this is applicable.
International Orders:
We are unable to ship internationally.
NZ Overnight Delivery:
All standard orders are sent via NZ Post’s Overnight Delivery Service. Orders placed before 2pm are usually delivered the next working day - nationwide, however delivery timeframes may occasionally vary due to courier delays outside of our control.
- Options for 'Signature Required' or 'No Signature Required' via the checkout.
- We deliver to NZ physical addresses and PO Boxes (no parcel lockers).
- We ship Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).
- For Rural Deliveries and in certain parts of NZ - time frames may take a bit longer.
- Additional delays may also occur if further payment or address information is required.
- Your Order Confirmation Email and Shipping Confirmation Email will be sent from shop@bivouac.co.nz
- Orders with both standard and oversized items in them, will be delivered in the oversized delivery timeframe of 3-7 working days.
We strongly advise all customers to check goods thoroughly upon delivery before destroying packaging or removing any attached tags.
Oversized Deliveries:
Shipping of oversized items takes 3-7 working days. However you are able to pick these up Same Day using Click and Collect, should the oversized item be available in your selected store. Find out more here.
Track & Trace
All items are tracked using NZ Post. Check your Shipping Confirmation email for a link or click here and enter your tracking details.
To get your order to you as quickly as possible, your items may be shipped from multiple locations. This means your order could arrive in separate packages or be delivered on different days.

Non Shipping Days and Delays:
- Orders placed late Friday or over the weekend are processed the following Monday.
- Sale periods may cause delays due to increased order volume.

Rural Delivery:
No additional charges or fees for any rural deliveries throughout New Zealand. Some rural deliveries may take longer than standard NZ delivery times. Rural may take a further 1-2 days.
Cancellation Policy:
Unfortunately orders cannot be cancelled or modified once they are placed. However, if there's an issue with your order, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help.
