A great choice for the tramper doing great walks and adventuring down more structured trails who wants a more classic look. Unlike some of the old school boots, these are comfortable straight out of the box, but you still get the durability and ease of cleaning of a leather upper. Gore-Tex lining will keep your feet dry and they've got a nice grippy outsole as well. I'd reccomend for anyone looking for the support of a boot, but a bit more conscious of the weight and flexibility.

The Terra Gore-Tex are an excellent seller due to their classic leather boot style, how versatile they are and how lightweight they feel!

These are our most lightweight leather boot, which allows people to have the long lasting perks of leather as well as the lightweight feel of a synthetic boot. The Vibram sole is hardwearing, which is good for people planning to walk long lengths of time. They would make for a great day hike or Great Walk boot option. The Gore-Tex membrane adds breathability to the boot as well as making if fully waterproof without you having to do anything to the leather.
The shoes are very flexible and soft and do not have any protective rand around the shoe which means they will not be suited for anyone going on technical rugged terrain that will easily scuff and damage the leather.

I would recommend using insoles with these boots as they can feel quite hard on your feet.

These are the perfect mix of old school, supportive boot with all the new technology. Really suited for the people carrying heavier loads, venturing off track, or even doing the odd bit of winter stuff. They fit really snug around the ankles and feel that they're really supporting the weight all the way through from the toe to the heel, and the heavier leather upper will last well if taken care of, even if you're super hard on your boots or a bigger person. Pairing these boots with a full waterproof sock is a non-negotiable for me to keep my feet dry as a bone. They do take a bit of time to break in properly, so wouldn't be the move if you need immediate comfort, but they're sure to stand the test of time.

A really good option if you're after a higher cut, more supportive boot but you're not looking for the weight penalty of a full grain leather upper. I love how snug the ankle and tongue fit, and the arch feels nice and supportive. These are ideal for your multi day adventures with a heavier pack, where you're taking advantage of all the off track options we have in NZ. They are on the narrower side, so won't be the best option if you've got a wide foot.

Great lightweight synthetic boots! The Ribelle Cross 2 Mid are a much more durable synthetic boot than others on the market. The stiffness of the sole is great for people going on steeper, rougher terrain and the aggressive lugs create great traction on muddy or wet ground. Unfortunately the fit of these boots is incredibly narrow. Do keep in mind that if you are taking these on rugged terrain frequently, they will not wear as well as leather boots.
If you're lucky enough to have narrow feet and want a pair of durable, water proof lightweight boots that are not ridiculously flexible then look no further!
