One of, if not, the best fitting harness I've tried on. Hugs the hips really nicely and has enough structure in the hip belt that you don't need to pull it overly tight. Compression straps in every place you could need them and tie on points for overflow of gear and hiking poles or ice axes. Side access zips make it convenient to pull out anything from just about any place inside the pack. Favorite features by far are the front access to the water bottle sleeves or the overflow pocket on the front that makes a great spot for a wet shell jacket.

This alpine pack is better suited for shorter expeditions. The 38L comes with the same features as the 52L Mutant except for the fact that the hip belt is not removable. However, it does have more gear loops on the hip belt which arguably is better for climbing. The 38 is slightly more streamlined and more robust, better for more technical climbing.
