Cylindrical Lens: A cylindrical lens curves left-to-right but is vertically flat – think of it as forming around a cylinder. These flat lenses slightly limit peripheral vision. Lenses like Giro’s Semi, Dylan, and the kid's Chico 2.0 goggles feature injection moulded cylindrical lenses. Injection moulding a cylindrical lens helps refine optics and minimise distortion that can occur in thermo-formed cylindrical lenses.
Double-Layer Foam: Goggles with double-layer foam incorporate a softer, moisture-wicking layer next to the skin and a denser outer layer for enhanced durability and insulation. This design helps prevent moisture buildup and improves overall comfort.
Cleaning: Regular cleaning ensures clear vision, safety, and prolonged goggle performance on the slopes. To clean your goggle lens do not use any paper products, including Kleenex® or a similar tissue. To clean the outside of the goggle lens you can breathe on the lens to create moisture vapor and gently blot or dab the outside lens with a soft microfibre cloth. If you need to clean the inside of your lens gently dab the lens rather than wiping it, which can remove the anti-fog coating or create scratches that permanently damage the lens.
Storage: Proper ski goggle storage safeguards lenses, frames, and straps, ensuring longevity, hygiene, and optimal performance on the slopes. Store goggles in a dry, warm, well-ventilated area so they are sufficiently dried out after each use. Putting them in a goggle bag or dedicated goggle box will help protect them from damage.

*Due to the oversized nature of certain products in our range we must charge an oversized shipping fee of $30 for 1 oversized item, or $50 for 2 or more oversized items to reflect the cost of shipping. This will include large packs, tents or heavy items. In most cases, a note will be displayed in the product description where this is applicable.
International Orders:
We are unable to ship internationally.
NZ Overnight Delivery:
All standard orders are sent via NZ Post’s Overnight Delivery Service. Orders placed before 2pm are usually delivered the next working day - nationwide, however delivery timeframes may occasionally vary due to courier delays outside of our control.
- Options for 'Signature Required' or 'No Signature Required' via the checkout.
- We deliver to NZ physical addresses and PO Boxes (no parcel lockers).
- We ship Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).
- For Rural Deliveries and in certain parts of NZ - time frames may take a bit longer.
- Additional delays may also occur if further payment or address information is required.
- Your Order Confirmation Email and Shipping Confirmation Email will be sent from shop@bivouac.co.nz
- Orders with both standard and oversized items in them, will be delivered in the oversized delivery timeframe of 3-7 working days.
We strongly advise all customers to check goods thoroughly upon delivery before destroying packaging or removing any attached tags.
Oversized Deliveries:
Shipping of oversized items takes 3-7 working days. However you are able to pick these up Same Day using Click and Collect, should the oversized item be available in your selected store. Find out more here.
Track & Trace
All items are tracked using NZ Post. Check your Shipping Confirmation email for a link or click here and enter your tracking details.
To get your order to you as quickly as possible, your items may be shipped from multiple locations. This means your order could arrive in separate packages or be delivered on different days.

Non Shipping Days and Delays:
- Orders placed late Friday or over the weekend are processed the following Monday.
- Sale periods may cause delays due to increased order volume.
Note: During public holidays courier services are unavailable and dispatch will occur the next working day:

Rural Delivery:
No additional charges or fees for any rural deliveries throughout New Zealand. Some rural deliveries may take longer than standard NZ delivery times. Rural may take a further 1-2 days.
Cancellation Policy:
Unfortunately orders cannot be cancelled or modified once they are placed. However, if there's an issue with your order, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help.
